MEET THE STAFF

Vonetta C. Pierce

FOUNDER | EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

I know Get a GRIP is my purpose. Whenever I talk about GRIP, I just light up and get energized! I am amazed at our growth and my prayer is that we are able to pour into young ladies from all over. The goal is to educate, to provide exposure to a variety of things, to help girls get a grip on things they need to know in life, to provide a safe space for sisterhood, to empower, to have fun, to provide exemplary women role models for them and to let girls know they can trust each other. The best is yet to come!Once a GRIP girl, always a GRiP girl…. :)

Pam Wise-Bowen

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR | FINANCIAL SECRETARY | BOARD SECRETARY

"I mentor because I want our young people to know that someone cares for them, assures them that they are not alone in their day-to-day challenges, and that they really matter. Also, it allows me the opportunity to connect our young people to personal growth and development, as well as social and economic opportunities. So, these are some of the reasons why I mentor.”

Sharon Jones

SECRETARY | FINANCIAL LITERACY EDUCATOR

"Mentoring has meant everything! I've had Mentors who gave of themselves to assist me on this journey called life! GRIP has given me the opportunity to give some of what those mentors gave to me... the ability to show someone else the way!."
